Titanium Tube Manufacturing Types Titanium Welded Tube
Our tubular products, masterfully crafted from strip, are roll formed and fusion welded along a longitudinal seam. Daxun's advanced welding processes are unique in that they do not require any filler metals, ensuring a pure and seamless finish.

Titanium Welded & Drawn Tubing
These tubular products are meticulously welded and then redrawn to achieve the final size. Ideal for producing heavy wall to diameter tubes that cannot be welded directly to size, these tubes offer significant cost savings compared to seamless tubes. All Daxun welded and drawn tubes are bright annealed, ensuring superior quality and durability.

Titanium Seamless Tubing
Expertly drawn from tube hollows, created by either piercing a billet or a hot extrusion process, our seamless tubular products are perfect for applications requiring very heavy diameter to wall ratios. They offer exceptional outside dimensional tolerances, providing reliability and precision.

Commercially Pure Titanium Grade 1 Tube stands out for its unmatched softness and ductility, coupled with excellent formability. Predominantly used in maritime and chemical industries, it endures the harshest conditions. The SB 338 Gr 1 Tube has an ultimate tensile strength of 35 KSI min (240 MPa min) and a yield strength (0.2% variation) of 25-45 KSI (170-310 MPa). Also known as TA1, Titan Grade 1, and Gr 1, this non-alloyed, low-strength titanium tube with low oxygen concentration is ideal for chemical industry applications, heat exchangers, and desalination facilities.

Grade 1 Titanium Tube is also perfect for producing exhaust systems, charge air pipes, and water pipes. Available in thicknesses of 1.2 mm and diameters ranging from 51 mm to 102 mm (ideal for exhaust systems), these tubes remain stable and strong even at elevated exhaust gas temperatures.

Daxun rigorously certifies and tests titanium alloy tubes in accordance with ASME SB/ASTM standards B861 and B862. Our thorough testing includes hardness, hydrostatic, eddy current, ultrasonic defect identification, tensile, flattening, expansion, annealing, tempering, and stress relief assessments, ensuring top-tier quality and performance.

Daxun Alloy's pure titanium Grade 1 titanium tubes include:
Seamless titanium tubes and welded titanium tubes, both known for their outstanding ductility and cold formability, making them perfect for deep drawing applications. Grade 1 titanium tubes boast excellent resistance to general corrosion, seawater corrosion, and oxidizing, neutral, and slightly reducing media, including chlorides.
With a low density-about half that of nickel-based alloys-high strength, light weight, and superior corrosion resistance, titanium is the ideal material for various challenging chemical environments. These tubes adhere to the following standards: ASTM B338 | ASTM B265 | ASME SB265 | ASTM F67 | ISO 5832-2 | 3.7025 | UNS R50250.

Grade 2 Titanium Tube (UNS R50400 / Werkstoff WS 3.7034)

This titanium tube is predominantly used in industrial settings, offering a superb balance of moderate strength and reasonable ductility. It excels in corrosion resistance under both highly oxidizing and slightly reducing conditions, including chlorides. Ideal for the chemical and offshore industries, aircraft manufacturing, heat exchangers, hypochlorite systems, fire water systems, ballast water systems, industrial and aerospace components, CPI equipment, and pipes.

Fabrication

Grade 2 titanium responds excellently to standard cold forming techniques. It is easily machined, provided sharp tools and ample coolant are maintained. Similar to machining austenitic stainless steels, deep and continuous cuts with slow feeds and speeds are recommended.

Stock Availability

Daxun Alloys maintains an extensive inventory of CP 2 Grade Titanium Seamless and Welded Pipes in various sizes, ensuring prompt fulfillment of your needs.

Weight Reduction

CP 2 grade titanium tubes offer exceptional low density and a high strength-to-weight ratio, ideal for applications demanding weight reduction without compromising strength. They are easily cold formable, have excellent ductility, and can be welded using traditional TIG and MIG methods, with inert gas shielding to prevent weld zone embrittlement.

Crystal Structure

At room temperature, ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium tubes exhibit an alpha (hexagonal close-packed) crystal structure, akin to commercially pure titanium grades 1 and 3. Around 885°C [1625°F], they transition to a beta (body-centered cubic) structure. This transformation temperature can vary based on impurity levels or alloying additions, which also shift the equilibrium transformation into alpha and beta temperature zones. Typical alpha and beta transformation temperatures for Grade 2 titanium are 890°C (1635°F) and 913°C (1675°F), respectively.

Grade 2 Titanium Seamless Pipe Manufacturing Process

Daxun's ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium seamless tubes are crafted from hollow blanks through hot extrusion or oblique rolling and piercing, followed by multiple cold rolling processes. Throughout manufacturing, the tubes maintain continuous perimeters. The process includes: sponge titanium vacuum arc melting, ingot blanking for hollow blanks, cleaning, cutting and feeding, hot extrusion or oblique rolling + piercing, degreasing, drying, cutting, online annealing and straightening, pickling, multiple cold rolling, degreasing, drying, vacuum annealing, straightening, cutting, pickling, final inspection, marking (DAXUN), and packaging.

Grade 2 Titanium Welded Pipe Manufacturing Process

Daxun's ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium welded pipe exemplifies top-tier craftsmanship, created from annealed flat-rolled steel plate or steel strip through a state-of-the-art automatic arc welding (TIG) process. The sophisticated production journey includes: titanium plate uncoiling, shearing, butt welding, cleaning, pipe forming, TIG welding, eddy current testing, pre-sizing, annealing, precision reducing and sizing, straightening, eddy current testing, caliper marking, cutting, ultrasonic testing, hydrostatic testing, final inspection, and packaging. Each welded pipe undergoes at least one stress relief heat treatment post-forming and welding, ensuring impeccable quality. Notably, Daxun's welding process is distinguished by the absence of any filler materials.

Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Pipe - The esteemed Grade 5 Titanium Tube, engineered for superior performance.

Titanium Alloy - Identified by its UNS R56400 designation, this alloy is a testament to advanced metallurgical engineering.
Introduction
DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5 (UNS R56400), stands as the most celebrated titanium alloy. This duplex alpha+beta titanium alloy integrates aluminum as the alpha stabilizer and vanadium as the beta stabilizer, yielding a high-strength material operable at low temperatures around 800°F (427°C). ATI Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy is proficiently employed for annealing, solution treating, and aging, making it indispensable for compressor blades, disks, and rings in jet engines; fuselage and space capsule components; pressure vessels; *** cases; helicopter rotor hubs; fasteners; and critical forgings demanding an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio.
The alloy's initial melting phase leverages cutting-edge techniques such as vacuum arc (VAR), electron beam (EB), or plasma arc hearth melting (PAM), followed by one or two vacuum arc remelting steps to achieve purity and consistency.
Specifications
• ASTE B338 - A benchmark in standard heat treatable titanium tubes.
• AMS 4928 - Premium forgings and forging stock, annealed to perfection.
• AMS 4965 - Forgings treated with solution and aged for optimal properties.
