Titanium round bars are among Daxun Alloy China's flagship titanium offerings. The production of Grade 1 Titanium bars is more automated compared to blocks and plates. Grade 1 Titanium bars come in over forty distinct grades, with Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1 being the most sought after. Available in diameters up to 14 inches, Grade 1 Titanium features superior ductility and cold formability, ideal for deep drawing applications. Renowned for its excellent resistance to general and seawater corrosion, as well as to oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing environments like chlorides, Titanium's low density-nearly half that of nickel-based alloys-combined with its high strength-to-weight ratio and exceptional corrosion resistance, makes it the material of choice for various rigorous chemical conditions.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar, distinguished by the following attributes:
Daxun specializes in producing high-performance titanium bars and offers custom manufacturing based on client specifications:
Daxun conducts numerous quality assurance tests, including mechanical tests such as tensile strength, chemical analysis, PMI testing, micro and macro testing, IGC testing, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting and resistance tests, hardness tests, and expansion tests. These tests ensure that Grade 2 Titanium Rods and Grade 2 Titanium Round Bars meet the required application standards. Throughout production, we meticulously measure the diameter, thickness, and surface finish of our products.

AMS 4928 - High-quality Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Premium Bars, Forgings (Solution Treated and Aged)
AMS 4967 - Quality Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
In the solution treated and aged condition, rapid quenching of smaller sections yields optimal properties. However, larger sections or delayed quenching may result in reduced performance.
Typically, in the annealed condition, the hardness is Rockwell C 30-34, while in the solution and aged condition, it ranges from Rockwell C 35-39.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar exhibits remarkable machinability when using methods tailored for austenitic stainless steel. Employing slow machining speeds, high feeds, and robust, rigid tools, along with substantial amounts of non-chlorinated cutting fluids, ensures optimal machining results.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod offers excellent weldability, whether in the annealed or the solution and partially aged condition. Post-weld heat treatment facilitates the aging process. It is crucial to prevent contamination from oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Fusion welding should be performed in an inert gas-filled chamber or with inert gas shielding the molten metal and adjacent heated zones, possibly utilizing a tail shield. Spot, seam, and flash welding can be executed without the need for a protective atmosphere.
When working with Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rods, special attention is required to prevent contamination with hydrogen during improper pickling, and with oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during processes such as forging, heat treating, and brazing. Such contamination can lead to a loss of ductility, adversely affecting the material's notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.

Note: Titanium should be avoided with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***.
Grade 2 titanium displays commendable corrosion resistance across numerous mediums, detailed in Table 1. CP titanium excels in environments including:
CP titanium shows superior resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions compared to stainless steels, performing excellently under 80 °C (176°F) regardless of pH, even in highly chlorinated environments.
Grade 2 titanium boasts outstanding resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in hot chloride solutions and remains immune in seawater.
Titanium demonstrates exceptional resistance to erosion in flowing environments.
Our high-quality titanium rods exhibit exceptional durability, even under extreme seawater conditions with velocities up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec). They show negligible signs of corrosion, and even abrasive particles like sand have minimal impact on their integrity.
Titanium demonstrates remarkable resistance to hydrogen embrittlement, showing no significant hydrogen absorption even when exposed to seawater at elevated temperatures. For hydrogen absorption to occur, the following conditions must be met:
Titanium alloys are uniquely immune to all forms of microbiologically influenced corrosion. While they do not exhibit toxicity toward marine organisms, enabling biofouling in seawater, this can be efficiently managed through chlorination or by enhancing water velocity through heat exchangers.
Unlike many other materials, titanium maintains its fatigue performance in seawater, showing no reduction in fatigue endurance limits or an increase in fatigue *** growth rates whether tested in air or seawater.
Titanium, positioned towards the noble end of the galvanic series near stainless steels, typically acts as the cathode when coupled with other metals. This characteristic ensures that titanium remains unaffected by galvanic corrosion while potentially accelerating the corrosion of the coupled metal. When paired with more noble metals like graphite, titanium's passivity is enhanced.
Grade 2 Titanium Rods exhibit outstanding fatigue properties, maintaining consistent performance in both air and seawater. Fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates remain stable regardless of the testing environment.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rods boast excellent weldability, provided that necessary precautions are adhered to. Due to titanium's reactivity, an inert gas shield is essential for both the OD and ID of the rod. It is crucial to ensure the material is free from any grease or oil contamination before welding.
Grade 2 Titanium Rods are typically welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. It is recommended to use low heat input to minimize the heat-affected zone. Post-weld heat treatment is generally not required for Titanium Rods.
