Titanium round bars represent one of Daxun Alloy China's most sought-after titanium products. The production process for Grade 1 Titanium bars is more mechanized compared to blocks and plates, ensuring consistency and precision. These bars come in over forty distinct grades, with Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1 being the most popular. Available in diameters up to 14 inches, Pure Titanium Grade 1 boasts excellent ductility and cold formability, ideal for deep drawing applications. It is renowned for its exceptional resistance to general and seawater corrosion, as well as its resilience to oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media, such as chlorides. Thanks to titanium's low density (about half that of nickel-based alloys), high strength-to-weight ratio, and corrosion resistance, it is the preferred choice for a wide range of harsh chemical environments.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar, offering the following outstanding characteristics:
Daxun manufactures top-tier titanium bars with superior performance, tailoring production to meet customer specifications:
Daxun conducts a comprehensive suite of quality assurance tests, including mechanical tests like tensile area, chemical analysis, material positive identification (PMI), micro and macro testing, intergranular corrosion (IGC) test, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting and resistance tests, hardness tests, expansion tests, and more. These tests ensure that Grade 2 Titanium Rod and Grade 2 Titanium Round Bar materials meet application requirements. During production, we meticulously measure the diameter, thickness, and surface quality of each product.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution treated and aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
In the solution treated and aged condition, rapid quenching of smaller sections yields optimal properties. Larger sections and/or delayed quenching may result in suboptimal properties.
Typical hardness in the annealed condition is Rockwell C 30-34, while the solution and aged condition achieves Rockwell C 35-39.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar exhibits excellent machinability when employing austenitic stainless steel techniques. Optimal machining is achieved at slow speeds, using high feeds, rigid tools, and copious amounts of non-chlorinated cutting fluids to ensure precision and efficiency.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod demonstrates outstanding weldability in both annealed and solution-aged states, with age hardening facilitated through post weld heat treatments. To maintain purity and structural integrity, welding must be performed in an inert gas environment to avoid contamination by oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Fusion welding is best done in an inert gas chamber or using inert gas shields for the molten metal and adjacent zones. Additionally, spot, seam, and flash welding are viable without protective atmospheres.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod is susceptible to contamination by hydrogen during improper pickling, and by oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during processes like forging, heat treating, and brazing. Such contamination could detract from ductility and adversely affect notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.
Tailored to your requirements, we produce bars with exceptional precision.
We ensure impeccable surface quality, exceptional straightness, perfect roundness, and the tightest diameter tolerances as per ISO 286-2 standards, up to h5. Available in straightened, ground, and polished conditions.

Note: Avoid using titanium with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous *** to prevent adverse reactions.
The corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium across various media are detailed in Table 1. CP titanium showcases excellent resistance to a wide range of environments, including:
CP Titanium demonstrates superior resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions compared to stainless steels. It remains unaffected by crevice corrosion at temperatures below 80°C (176°F), even in highly chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 Titanium provides excellent protection against stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in hot chloride solutions and is immune to SCC in seawater.
Titanium offers outstanding resistance to erosion in flowing environments, making it an ideal choice for various applications.
Seawater with velocities up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec) shows negligible effect on our material, maintaining its integrity. Even the presence of abrasive particles, such as sand, only slightly impacts the corrosion resistance.
Remarkably, there is no significant absorption of hydrogen into titanium exposed to seawater, even at elevated temperatures. Hydrogen absorption typically occurs only when all three of the following conditions are met:
Titanium alloys exhibit unique immunity to all forms of microbiologically influenced corrosion. However, due to their non-toxicity toward marine organisms, biofouling in seawater is possible. This can be effectively minimized through chlorination or by increasing the water velocity in the heat exchanger.
Unlike many other materials, titanium does not suffer a decrease in fatigue performance in the presence of seawater. Fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates remain consistent, whether tested in air or seawater.
In the galvanic series, titanium is positioned toward the noble end, near stainless steels, and generally acts as the cathode when coupled with other metals. Hence, titanium is not affected by galvanic corrosion but can accelerate the corrosion of the other metal. When paired with more noble metals like graphite, titanium's passivity is further enhanced.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod uniquely maintains its fatigue properties even in seawater conditions. Fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates are identical, regardless of whether the rod is tested in air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod boasts excellent weldability, provided that necessary precautions are observed. Given titanium's reactivity, an inert gas shield must cover both the OD and ID of the rod, and the material must be free of grease or oil contamination.
Typically, Grade 2 Titanium Rod is welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. It is recommended to use low heat input to minimize the heat-affected zone. Post weld heat treatment is not commonly performed on Titanium Rod.
