DAXUN produces and maintains an extensive inventory of Grade 2 (UNS R50400) commercially pure titanium plates, available in thicknesses from 0.5mm to 120mm. This grade is the quintessential 'workhorse' in the commercially pure titanium category, offering an optimal combination of strength, ductility, and superb corrosion resistance, making it indispensable for a multitude of industrial applications.
Grade 2 Titanium Plate, a commercially pure variant, strikes a perfect harmony between strength and ductility. It boasts high impact strength and excellent weldability, coupled with robust corrosion resistance in highly oxidizing environments, alkaline media, brine solutions, weakly reducing environments, and wet ***. Furthermore, it excels in resisting seawater and salt solutions.
With its low density and superior strength-to-weight ratio, along with inherent corrosion resistance, titanium is the material of choice for a wide array of applications. The Grade 2 Titanium Plate effectively counteracts stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion in chloride solutions below 70°C. With a melting point of 1660°C, it stands out as the preferred alloy for industrial applications demanding excellent ductility and corrosion resistance.
Grade 2 titanium plate, characterized by its lower density, is ideal for weight-sensitive applications. Industries such as medical, chemical equipment, and aerospace significantly benefit from its properties. Its strength and corrosion resistance also make it perfect for marine, chemical processing, and desalination industries. Typical applications include oil and gas components, reaction and pressure vessels, piping systems, power plants, heat exchangers, linings, flue gas desulfurization systems, and numerous other industrial components. It meets standards including ASTM B265, ASTM F67, AMS4911, AMS4928, AMS4943, AMS4944, AMS4945, AMS4967, and AMS4972.
Daxun rigorously conducts various quality assurance tests such as flattening, pitting resistance, mechanical, hardness, material positive identification, and expansion tests. These rigorous evaluations ensure that our materials meet all necessary performance criteria. Throughout the production process, we meticulously measure the product's diameter, thickness, and surface. Standard delivery times are 5-7 days, with special sizes requiring 15-20 days.
Titanium Grade 2 Plates are available in cold-rolled thicknesses ranging from 0.3 mm to 6.0 mm and hot-rolled thicknesses from 4.76 mm to 155 mm. Produced through longitudinal and transverse rolling, these plates are supplied in either hot-rolled or heat-treated conditions. Creep flattening is available as a heat treatment to alleviate internal stresses and meet specific flatness needs. Plates can also be supplied in cut blank form for parts with complex shapes, tailored to customer requirements through mechanical or chemical processing.
