Ideal for extreme conditions, Type 310S withstands temperatures up to 2000˚F in dry air and forms a robust oxide scale, surpassing Type 309 in thermal cycling. With excellent sulfidation and carburization resistance in mildly carburizing environments, Type 310S is a low-carbon variant of Type 310, making it easier to shape and weld. Nonmagnetic when annealed and cold wrought, it offers superior corrosion resistance compared to Type 304/304L.
