310S Stainless Steel Coil is a superior austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel, renowned for its exceptional resistance to oxidation, corrosion, and high temperatures. Type 310S excels in high-temperature environments, withstanding oxidation and maintaining good creep strength up to 2000˚F in dry air. It forms a robust oxide scale at elevated temperatures, resisting spalling more effectively than Type 309 in thermal cycling applications. Additionally, Type 310S demonstrates excellent sulfidation and carburization resistance in mildly carburizing settings. As a low-carbon variant of Type 310, it offers enhanced formability and weldability. When annealed and cold wrought, Type 310S remains nonmagnetic and exhibits superior corrosion resistance compared to Type 304/304L.
