Titanium round bars stand as among the most cherished products from Daxun Alloy China. The crafting of Grade 1 Titanium bars is notably automated in contrast to the fabrication of blocks and plates. These bars come in over forty distinctive grades, with Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1 topping the popularity charts. Available in diameters reaching up to 14 inches, Pure Titanium Grade 1 is celebrated for its superior ductility and cold formability, ideal for deep drawing. Renowned for its exceptional resistance to general corrosion, seawater corrosion, and resistance to oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media like chlorides, Titanium's low density-about half that of nickel-based alloys-combined with its high strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance, makes it an optimal choice for numerous demanding chemical environments.
Distinct Characteristics of DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 Commercially Pure (CP) Titanium Bars:
Daxun excels in producing titanium bars of the highest quality and performance, tailored to meet customer requirements:
Daxun rigorously conducts several quality assurance tests including area tensile, chemical analysis, PMI test, micro and macro testing, intergranular corrosion (IGC) test, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting resistance test, hardness test, expansion test, and more. These stringent tests certify the suitability of Grade 2 Titanium Rods and Round Bars for their intended applications, ensuring precise measurements of diameter, thickness, and surface quality throughout the production process.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution treated and aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
In the solution-treated and aged condition, rapid quenching of smaller sections yields optimum properties. Larger sections or delayed quenching might result in suboptimal properties.
Typical hardness in the annealed state is Rockwell C 30-34, while in the solution-treated and aged state, it ranges between Rockwell C 35-39.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar demonstrates commendable machinability when employing austenitic stainless steel machining techniques. Optimal results are achieved with slow machining speeds, high feed rates, robust tooling, and an abundant supply of non-chlorinated cutting fluids to ensure precision and longevity of the tools.
Easily weldable in both annealed and solution/partially aged conditions, the Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod excels in fusion welding within an inert gas environment to shield the molten metal and adjacent heated zones. Spot, seam, and flash welding are viable without protective atmospheres, provided strict precautions are taken to prevent contamination from oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen, ensuring flawless weld quality and integrity.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod is susceptible to contamination from hydrogen during improper pickling and from oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during forging, heat treating, and brazing. Such contamination can significantly reduce ductility, adversely impacting notch sensitivity and forming characteristics. Vigilant care is necessary to maintain material quality.

Avoid using titanium with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***.
General corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium across various media are detailed in Table 1. CP titanium showcases excellent resistance to a wide range of environments including:
CP titanium offers superior resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions compared to stainless steels. It does not experience crevice corrosion below 80°C (176°F), regardless of pH, even in highly chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 titanium exhibits exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking in hot chloride solutions and remains unaffected by SCC in seawater.
Titanium demonstrates outstanding resistance to erosion in flowing environments.
Seawater with velocities soaring up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec) demonstrates negligible impact on this exceptional material. Even in the presence of abrasive particles like sand, the corrosion resistance remains steadfast.
Titanium exhibits remarkable resistance to hydrogen absorption when exposed to seawater, even at elevated temperatures. Typically, hydrogen absorption only occurs under the following three critical conditions:
Titanium alloys boast unparalleled immunity against microbiologically influenced corrosion. Although they are non-toxic to marine life, biofouling can occur in seawater. This can be mitigated by chlorination or enhancing water velocity through heat exchangers.
Titanium stands out for maintaining its fatigue performance in the presence of seawater, unlike many other materials. Both the fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates remain consistent, whether tested in air or seawater.
In the galvanic series, titanium positions itself towards the noble end, near stainless steels, often acting as the cathode when paired with other metals. Consequently, titanium evades galvanic corrosion but can accelerate the corrosion of the coupled metal. Pairing titanium with more noble metals like graphite enhances its inherent passivity.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod maintains its fatigue properties in seawater, unlike many other materials. The fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates do not degrade, regardless of testing in air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod is highly weldable, provided necessary precautions are observed. Due to titanium's reactivity, an inert gas shield must be applied to both the OD and ID of the rod, and the material must be free from grease or oil contamination.
Typically, Grade 2 Titanium Rod is welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. Low heat input is recommended to minimize the heat-affected zone. Post-weld heat treatment is generally not required for Titanium Rod.
