Type 410 is a corrosion and heat-resistant martensitic stainless steel containing approximately 12% chromium. It offers a versatile range of mechanical properties through heat treatment and delivers moderate corrosion resistance. The maximum resistance is achieved by hardening via heat treatment followed by polishing. Type 410 is ideal for cutlery, kitchen utensils, and hand tools, and it remains magnetic in both annealed and hardened conditions.
