Daxun proudly produces and stocks a wide range of commercially pure titanium plates, specifically Grade 2 (UNS R50400), with thicknesses spanning from 0.5mm to 120mm. Known as the 'workhorse' of the pure titanium family, Grade 2 combines remarkable strength, ductility, and outstanding corrosion resistance, making it ideal for numerous industrial applications.
Grade 2 Titanium Plate offers an exceptional balance of strength and ductility. It boasts excellent impact strength, weldability, and corrosion resistance in highly oxidizing environments, alkaline media, brine solutions, and wet ***. Moreover, it stands out with its excellent resistance to seawater and salt solutions.
Titanium's low density, superior strength-to-weight ratio, and outstanding corrosion resistance make it the material of choice for varied applications. It effectively resists stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion in chloride solutions below 70°C. With a melting point of 1660°C, Grade 2 Titanium Plate is perfect for industrial applications demanding high ductility and corrosion resistance.
Grade 2 Titanium Plate's lower density makes it ideal where weight considerations are crucial. Key industries include medical, chemical equipment, and aerospace. Its strength and corrosion resistance render it perfect for marine, chemical processing, and desalination applications. Typical uses encompass oil and gas components, reaction and pressure vessels, piping systems, power, heat exchangers, linings, flue gas desulfurization systems, and various industrial components. Common standards: ASTM B265, ASTM F67, AMS4911, AMS4928, AMS4943, AMS4944, AMS4945, AMS4967, AMS4972.
Daxun ensures top-quality through rigorous assurance tests, including flattening, pitting, resistance, mechanical, hardness, material positive identification, and expansion tests. These tests confirm the material's suitability for required applications. We measure the diameter, thickness, and surface meticulously during production. Our standard delivery time is 5-7 days, with special size products taking 15-20 days.
Titanium Grade 2 Plates are available in cold-rolled thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 6.0 mm, and hot-rolled or heat-treated thicknesses from 4.76 mm to 155 mm. These plates are produced by longitudinal and transverse rolling. If necessary, creep flattening can be used as a heat treatment to relieve internal stresses and meet special flatness requirements. Plates can be supplied in cut blank form, allowing parts with complex shapes to be cut from a parent plate. Further processing depends on customer requirements and can be mechanical or chemical.
