CORROSION RESISTANCE:

HEAT RESISTANCE:
- Exhibits good oxidation resistance when used intermittently up to 1600°F and continuously up to 1690°F.
However, continuous use of the 304 round bar in the 800-1580°F range is not advisable if subsequent aqueous corrosion resistance is essential.
WELDING CHARACTERISTICS:
- The alloy is readily weldable using the full spectrum of conventional welding techniques, except oxyacetylene.
- For optimal results, AWS E308L/ ER308L filler metal should be paired with Prodec 304/304L steel.
