Titanium round bars are one of Daxun Alloy China's most sought-after titanium products. The manufacturing process of Grade 1 Titanium bars is highly mechanized compared to blocks and plates. Available in over forty distinct grades, the most popular are Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1. These bars come in diameters up to 14 inches. Pure Titanium Grade 1 boasts excellent ductility and cold formability, making it ideal for deep drawing. It is renowned for its superb general and seawater corrosion resistance, as well as resistance to oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media, such as chlorides. With a low density (about half that of nickel-based alloys), high strength-to-weight ratio, and excellent corrosion resistance, titanium is perfect for various harsh chemical environments.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar characterized by:
Daxun produces high-quality titanium bars known for high performance and can customize based on customer requirements:
Daxun conducts rigorous quality assurance tests, including tensile tests, chemical analysis, Material Positive Identification (PMI), micro and macro testing, intergranular corrosion (IGC) test, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting resistance test, hardness test, and expansion test. These tests ensure that Grade 2 Titanium Rod and Round Bar materials fit the required applications. We measure the diameter, thickness, and surface during production.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution treated and aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
For optimal properties, rapidly quench small sections in the solution-treated and aged condition. Larger sections or delayed quenching might yield less optimal properties.
Typical hardness is Rockwell C 30-34 in the annealed condition, and Rockwell C 35-39 in the solution-treated and aged condition.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar is machinable using methods akin to those for austenitic stainless steel, characterized by slow machining speeds, high feeds, rigid tooling, and abundant use of non-chlorinated cutting fluids to ensure precision and durability.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod is highly weldable in both the annealed state and the solution and partially aged conditions, where aging occurs during post-weld heat treatment. To prevent contamination by oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen, fusion welding must be conducted in an inert gas environment. Spot, seam, and flash welding can be performed without the need for protective atmospheres.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod is susceptible to contamination by hydrogen during improper pickling and by oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during processes such as forging, heat treating, and brazing. Such contamination can lead to a reduction in ductility, negatively impacting notch sensitivity and forming capabilities.

Titanium should not be used with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***: Important usage limitations for safe application.
The general corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium in various media are detailed in Table 1. CP titanium offers excellent resistance to a diverse range of environments including:
CP titanium shows excellent resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions compared to stainless steels. CP titanium will not exhibit crevice corrosion at temperatures under 80°C (176°F) regardless of pH, even under super chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 titanium shows excellent resistance to stress corrosion (SCC) cracking in hot chloride solutions and is immune to SCC in seawater.
Titanium shows excellent resistance to erosion in flowing environments, ensuring longevity and durability.
Remarkably, seawater with velocities up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec) exhibits minimal impact on this extraordinary material. Even the presence of abrasive particles, such as sand, only slightly affects its corrosion resistance.
Incredibly, titanium does not significantly absorb hydrogen when exposed to seawater, even at elevated temperatures. Hydrogen absorption typically only occurs under the following stringent conditions:
Titanium alloys showcase unparalleled immunity to all forms of microbiologically influenced corrosion. While titanium alloys are non-toxic to marine organisms, biofouling can occur in seawater. This can be effectively minimized through chlorination or by boosting the water velocity through heat exchangers.
Unlike numerous other materials, titanium maintains its fatigue performance even in the presence of seawater. Both its fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates remain consistent whether tested in air or seawater environments.
Positioned towards the noble end of the galvanic series near stainless steels, titanium generally acts as the cathode when paired with other metals. As such, it remains unaffected by galvanic corrosion but may accelerate the corrosion of the other metal. Coupling titanium with more noble metals, like graphite, further enhances its passivity.
Distinctive from many other materials, Grade 2 Titanium Rod retains its fatigue properties even in seawater. The fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates remain unchanged whether assessed in air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod boasts excellent weldability, provided necessary precautions are taken. Due to titanium's reactivity, it requires an inert gas shield on both its OD and ID. Ensure the material is free of grease or oil contamination for optimal results.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod is predominantly welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. To minimize the heat-affected zone, a low heat input is recommended. Post-weld heat treatment is typically unnecessary for Titanium Rod.
