CORROSION RESISTANCE:
- The DAXUN 304/304L Stainless Steel Bar is a highly adaptable general-purpose stainless steel, offering robust resistance against atmospheric corrosion, a broad spectrum of organic and inorganic chemical corrosion, and resistance to food and beverage-induced corrosion.
- It is also essential in vacuum processing equipment and specialized instruments where maintaining high integrity is paramount.
HEAT RESISTANCE:
- Exhibits admirable oxidation resistance during intermittent use up to 1600°F and continuous use up to 1690°F.
However, the continuous operation of the 304 round bar within the 800-1580°F range is inadvisable if subsequent aqueous corrosion resistance is a priority.
WELDING CHARACTERISTICS:
- Readily welded by the full spectrum of conventional welding techniques, with the exception of oxyacetylene.
- For optimal results, AWS E308L/ER308L filler metal should be employed with Prodec 304/304L steel.
MACHINABILITY:
- Enables accelerated machining speeds, extended tool life, superior part quality, and a reduction in the overall cost of machined components.
