Titanium round bars are one of Daxun Alloy China's most popular titanium products. However, the manufacturing process for Grade 1 Titanium bars is more mechanized than that of blocks and plates. Grade 1 Titanium bars are available in over forty distinct grades, the most popular of which are Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1. Titanium round bars are available in a range of diameters up to 14 inches. Pure Titanium Grade 1 has excellent ductility and cold formability, making it suited for deep drawing. Titanium Grade 1 is well-known for its outstanding general and seawater corrosion resistance, as well as its resistance to oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media (solutions) such as chlorides. Titanium's low density (approximately half that of nickel-based alloys), high strength-to-weight ratio, and corrosion resistance make it an excellent choice for a variety of harsh chemical conditions.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar with the following characteristics:
Daxun produces high-quality titanium bars with high performance, and can also manufacture according to customer's agreement:
Daxun performs several quality assurance tests, these tests include mechanical tests like area tensile, chemical analysis, material positive identification - PMI test, micro and macro testing, intergranular corrosion (IGC) test, ultrasonic flaw detection test, pitting and resistance test, hardness test, material positive identification, expansion test etc. All these tests ensure that the Grade 2 Titanium Rod and Grade 2 Titanium Round Bar material is suitable for the required application. During the production process, we measure the diameter, thickness and surface of the product.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution treated and aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
In the solution treated and aged condition, rapid quenching of small sections yields optimum properties. Larger section sizes and/or delayed quenching may result in less than optimum properties.
Typical hardness in the annealed condition is Rockwell C 30-34, and about Rockwell C 35-39 in the solution and aged condition.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar can be machined using austenitic stainless steel machining methods with slow machining speeds, high feeds, rigid tools, and the use of large amounts of non-chlorinated cutting fluids.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod is readily weldable in the annealed condition or in the solution and partially aged condition, with aging being accomplished during post weld heat treatment. Precautions must be taken to prevent contamination with oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Fusion welding may be performed in an inert gas filled chamber or with inert gas to weld the molten metal and adjacent heated zones, with a tail shield. Spot, seam, and flash welding may be performed without the aid of a protective atmosphere.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod may be contaminated with hydrogen from improper pickling, and with oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during forging, heat treating, brazing, etc. This contamination may result in a loss of ductility, which may adversely affect notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.
We produce bars according to your requirements.

Titanium should not be used with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous chlorine.
The general corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium in a variety of media are shown in Table 1. CP titanium exhibits good corrosion resistance to a wide variety of environments including:
CP titanium exhibits good resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions compared to stainless steels. CP titanium will not exhibit crevice corrosion at temperatures under 80 °C ( 176°F) regardless of pH, even under super chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 titanium shows excellent resistance to stress corrosion (SCC) cracking in hot chloride solutions and is immune to sec in seawater.
Titanium shows excellent resistance to erosion in flowing
seawater with velocities up to 130 ft/sec ( 40 m/sec) showing negligible effect on the material. The presence of abrasive particles, such as sand, has only a small effect on corrosion.
There is no significant absorption of hydrogen into titanium exposed to seawater, even at higher temperatures. Normally hydrogen absorption occurs only when the three following conditions are met:
Titanium alloys have demonstrated a unique immunity to all forms of microbiologically influenced corrosion. Since titanium alloys do not display any toxicity toward marine organisms, biofouling can occur in seawater. This can be minimized by chlorination or by increasing the water velocity through the heat exchanger.
Titanium, unlike many other materials, does not show a decrease in fatigue performance in the presence of seawater. Both fatigue endurance limits and fatigue crack growth rates are the same whether tested in air or seawater.
In the galvanic series, titanium is towards the noble end near stainless steels, and will normally act as the cathode when coupled with other metals. The titanium will therefore not be affected by galvanic corrosion but can accelerate corrosion of the other metal. Coupling of titanium with more noble metals, such as graphite, only enhances titanium's passivity.
Unlike many other materials, Grade 2 Titanium Rod does not show a degradation in fatigue properties in the presence of seawater. Fatigue endurance limits and fatigue crack growth rates are the same whether tested in air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod is very weldable as long as the necessary precautions are taken. Due to the reactivity of titanium, an inert gas shield must be placed on both the OD and ID of the rod. The material must also be free of any grease or oil contamination.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod is typically welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. Low heat input should be used to minimize the size of the heat affected zone. Titanium Rod is not typically post weld heat treated.
