Titanium Tube Manufacturing Types: Titanium Welded Tube
Our tubular products are masterfully crafted from strips that are roll-formed and fusion-welded along a longitudinal seam. Daxun's advanced welding process ensures no filler metals are used, guaranteeing superior purity and strength.

Titanium Welded & Drawn Tubing
Our tubular products undergo welding followed by redrawing to achieve the final size. This method is perfect for producing heavy wall-to-diameter tubes that cannot be welded directly to size, while still enjoying the cost benefits of welded tubes. Every Daxun welded and drawn tube is bright annealed for exceptional quality.

Titanium Seamless Tubing
Our seamless tubular products are drawn from tube hollows, created by either piercing a billet or through a hot extrusion process. Ideal for heavy diameter-to-wall ratios, seamless tubing offers superior dimensional tolerances and exceptional strength.

Weight Reduction

CP 2 grade titanium tubes boast low density and a high strength-to-weight ratio, making them ideal for applications requiring weight reduction without compromising strength. They are cold formable, exhibit good ductility, and can be welded using standard TIG and MIG processes, although inert gas shielding is essential to prevent weld zone embrittlement.

Crystal Structure

At room temperature, ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium tubes feature an alpha (hexagonal close-packed) crystal structure, similar to commercially pure titanium grades 1 and 3. At around 885°C (1625°F), this transforms into a beta (body-centered cubic) structure. The transformation temperature can vary based on impurities or alloying additions, creating alpha and beta transformation zones. Typical transformation temperatures for Grade 2 titanium are 890°C (1635°F) for the alpha zone and 913°C (1675°F) for the beta zone.
