CORROSION RESISTANCE:
- DAXUN 304/304L Stainless Steel Bar is a highly adaptable general-purpose stainless steel, offering excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion, a broad range of organic and inorganic chemicals, and typical food and beverage corrosion.
- Additionally, it is utilized in vacuum processing equipment and specialized instruments where high integrity is paramount.
HEAT RESISTANCE:
- Exhibits robust oxidation resistance with intermittent use up to 1600°F and continuous use up to 1690°F.
However, continuous use of 304 round bar within the 800-1580°F range is not advised if aqueous corrosion resistance is a priority.
WELDING CHARACTERISTICS:
- Easily weldable using the full spectrum of conventional welding methods, except oxyacetylene.
- For Prodec 304/304L steel, AWS E308L/ ER308L filler metal is recommended.
MACHINABILITY:
- Supports higher machining speeds, increases tool life, enhances part quality, and reduces the total cost of machined parts.

- Daxun Stainless Steel Products can perform heat treatment on select 400 Series Stainless Steel Bars. Heat treating, depending on the metal's composition, induces stresses due to hardening. This process is also used for tempering, quenching, normalizing, and solution annealing.
POSITIVE MATERIAL IDENTIFICATION (PMI)
- At times, additional positive material identification testing may be required. Daxun Stainless Products can conduct this testing in-house or coordinate with an independent laboratory. Please reach out to us for specific requirements.
UT TESTING
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) employs high-frequency sound energy for thorough examination and measurement of the stainless steel product, facilitating flaw detection/evaluation, and dimensional assessments.
