The Gr5 Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy plate, containing 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium, is an α-β type titanium alloy. In this alloy, aluminum stabilizes the α phase, while vanadium stabilizes the β phase. The Gr5 Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy plate is renowned for its excellent comprehensive performance and favorable processing characteristics. This alloy demonstrates outstanding strength at both room and high temperatures, impressive creep resistance, thermal stability, high fatigue performance, and resistance to *** growth in seawater. Furthermore, it offers satisfactory fracture toughness and exceptional resistance to hot salt stress corrosion. With excellent process plasticity and superplasticity, the Gr5 Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy plate is suitable for various processing and welding methods.

Corrosion Resistance

Gr1, Gr2, Gr3, Gr4, and Gr5 titanium plates offer high resistance to seawater and marine atmospheric corrosion. While the four commercially pure grades have similar corrosion resistance, their mechanical properties vary based on oxygen and iron content. 1. Cold-Rolled Titanium Plate: Crafted through a meticulous plate rolling process, the final stage of this plate's production is cold rolling. These sheets are available in either work-hardened or heat-treated conditions. Depending on your specific requirements, further processing can involve mechanical or chemical methods to achieve the desired specifications. 2. Hot-Rolled Titanium Plate: Manufactured by both longitudinal and longitudinal-transverse rolling techniques, these plates come in thicknesses ranging from 3.0mm to 155mm and are supplied in a heat-treated state. If needed, creep flattening can be performed as part of the heat treatment to eliminate internal stresses and meet specific flatness demands. These plates can also be provided as cut blanks, tailored into complex shapes as per customer specifications.3. Forged Titanium Plate: Produced by forging steel ingots on vertical hydraulic presses followed by rolling, or via open die forging alone or combined with rolling. Standard dimensions for slabs include thicknesses up to 580mm, widths up to 2000mm, and lengths up to 6000mm. The exact dimensions and weights of the forged plates are custom-agreed between the manufacturer and the customer, ensuring precise adherence to your requirements.
