Unmatched Corrosion Resistance
The 410 stainless steel plate boasts impressive resistance to dry air, fresh water, mild bases and acids, food products, steam, and hot gases. This makes it an ideal choice for a variety of demanding environments.
To achieve optimal heat and corrosion resistance, the material must be hardened. For the best results, a smooth surface finish is recommended.
Exceptional Heat Resistance
This steel plate exhibits excellent resistance to scaling up to around 650°C. However, it is generally not recommended for use at temperatures between 400 and 580°C, as mechanical properties tend to degrade in this range.
Precise Heat Treatment
For full annealing, heat the material to 815-900°C, then allow it to cool slowly in the furnace to 600°C before air cooling it.
For process annealing, heat to 650-760°C and then air cool.
Versatile Welding Capabilities
The 410 stainless steel can be easily welded using all standard methods. Preheating to 150-260°C and post-weld annealing are essential steps to reduce cracking.
