DAXUN produces and stocks commercially pure titanium plates, Grade 2 (UNS R50400), in thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 120mm. Known as the 'workhorse' of the commercially pure titanium family, Grade 2 Titanium Plate (UNS R50400) combines high strength, impressive ductility, and outstanding corrosion resistance, making it perfect for a multitude of industrial applications.
Grade 2 Titanium Plate is a commercially pure titanium plate offering an excellent balance between strength and ductility. It features good impact strength, easy weldability, and superb corrosion resistance in highly oxidizing environments, alkaline media, brine solutions, weakly reducing environments, and wet ***. It also excels in resisting corrosion in seawater and salt solutions.
Titanium's low density, high strength-to-weight ratio, and corrosion resistance make it an ideal material for a myriad of applications. It effectively resists stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion in chloride solutions below 70°C. With a melting point of 1660°C, Grade 2 Titanium Plate is the alloy of choice for most industrial applications demanding good ductility and corrosion resistance.
Grade 2 Titanium Plate has a lower density, making it perfect for weight-sensitive applications. Key industries include medical, chemical equipment, and aerospace. The strength and corrosion resistance of Grade 2 Titanium Plate also make it ideal for marine, chemical processing, and desalination industries. Typical applications include oil and gas components, reaction and pressure vessels, piping systems, power, heat exchangers, linings, flue gas desulfurization systems, and many other industrial components. Common standards: ASTM B265, ASTM F67, AMS4911, AMS4928, AMS4943, AMS4944, AMS4945, AMS4967, AMS4972.
DAXUN conducts multiple quality assurance tests, including flattening, pitting and resistance tests, mechanical tests, hardness tests, material positive identification, and expansion tests. These tests ensure the material's suitability for required applications. During production, we measure the diameter, thickness, and surface of the product. Our standard delivery time is 5-7 days, with special size product deliveries taking 15-20 days.
Titanium Grade 2 Plates are available in cold-rolled thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 6.0 mm and in hot-rolled or heat-treated conditions. Hot-rolled thicknesses range from 4.76 mm to 155 mm. Plates are produced by longitudinal and transverse rolling and can be supplied in cut blank form for parts with complex shapes. Further processing depends on customer requirements, which can be either mechanical or chemical. Creep flattening can be used as a heat treatment to relieve internal stresses and meet special flatness requirements.
