Our hot-finished titanium tubes are offered in an array of forms including hot-rolled or hot-extruded, meticulously straightened, with machined inner and outer diameters, and feature a polished surface. These tubes are available in both heat-treated and non-heat-treated varieties. Exemplifying our commitment to quality, every tube undergoes 100% ultrasonic flaw detection.
Titanium Tube Materials Available:
Hot-rolled Titanium Tubes: Outer Diameter (OD) ranges from 19mm to 325mm, wall thickness from 9mm to 30mm, lengths extending up to 5000mm (subject to agreement between the manufacturer and customer). Hot-extruded Titanium Tubes: OD from 50mm to 160mm, wall thickness from 7mm to 35mm, lengths up to 3000mm (subject to agreement between the manufacturer and customer).
Cold-finished Titanium Tubes
Our cold-finished titanium tubes are supplied based on specific manufacturing requirements, available in heat-treated, surface-etched, hydrostatically tested, or ultrasonically tested conditions. Specifications include: OD from 6mm to 89mm, wall thickness from 0.5mm to 11mm, lengths up to 6000mm (subject to agreement between the manufacturer and customer).
Titanium Welded Pipes
DaXun specializes in manufacturing and supplying titanium pipes with diameters ranging from 12.7mm (0.5in) to 38.1mm (1.5in), wall thickness from 0.4mm to 1.65mm (0.016in to 0.065in), and lengths extending up to 25000mm. Ideal for engineering and chemical industries, our pipes are available in electrical Gr1, Gr2, and Gr12 titanium alloys. Using flat rolled raw materials, pipes are crafted through advanced tungsten inert gas (argon) welding on electric pipe welders and heat treated on the mill line. To ensure superior quality, finished pipes undergo rigorous mechanical testing, geometrical measurements, 100% ultrasonic and eddy current testing, pneumatic or hydrostatic testing and are packaged in accordance with customer specifications. Our manufacturing process and inspection test equipment guarantee compliance with ASTM B 338 and ASME SB 338 standards.
Our titanium tubes are integral in aircraft applications that demand both strength and light weight. Specifically, Ti-3Al-2.5V tubing is favored for its remarkable malleability compared to Ti-6-4, making it ideal for hydraulic systems. Titanium Grade 9, often termed 'half 6-4', is an advanced titanium alloy composed of 3% aluminium and 2.5% vanadium. This unique composition grants it exceptional mechanical strength, ranging from 20 to 50% higher thancommercially pure (CP)titanium grades. Additionally, Grade 9 is notably more formable and weldable compared to the robust Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5).
Titanium Grade 18 (UNS R56322) mirrors Grade 9 in all aspects except for a crucial addition: 0.04 - 0.08% palladium. This enhancement significantly boosts its corrosion resistance. Both Grades 9 and 18 exhibit a density of 4.48 g/cc, which is less than 60% of steel's density.
This remarkable material provides excellent corrosion resistance across oxidising, neutral, and mildly reducing environments, including chlorides. The addition of palladium in Titanium Grade 18 further enhances its resistance to corrosion, withstanding oxidation up to 600°F (316°C).
