Hot-finished Titanium Tubes
Our hot-finished titanium tubes are meticulously crafted through advanced processes such as hot-rolling or hot-extruding, followed by precise straightening and machining of both internal and external diameters. The tubes undergo a thorough surface polishing to achieve a pristine finish. Available in both heat-treated and non-heat-treated forms, each tube is subjected to 100% ultrasonic flaw detection to ensure the highest quality.
Titanium Tube Materials Available:
Hot-rolled Titanium Tubes offer an outer diameter (OD) range from 19mm to 325mm, wall thickness between 9mm to 30mm, and lengths up to 5000mm, customizable based on mutual agreement. Hot-extruded Titanium Tubes are available with an OD of 50mm to 160mm, wall thickness from 7mm to 35mm, and lengths up to 3000mm, also subject to customer-specific agreements.
Cold-finished Titanium Tubes
Cold-finished Titanium Tubes are supplied in a meticulously heat-treated form, with surface etching and subjected to rigorous hydrostatic or ultrasonic testing based on manufacturing specifications. These tubes are available with an outer diameter (OD) of 6mm to 89mm, wall thickness ranging from 0.5mm to 11mm, and lengths up to 6000mm, fully customizable to meet specific needs.
Titanium Welded Pipes
DaXun offers premium titanium welded pipes with diameters from 12.7mm to 38.1mm (0.47in to 1.5in) and wall thickness from 0.4mm to 1.65mm (0.016in to 0.065in). These pipes can extend up to 25000mm in length and are crafted from electrical Gr1, Gr2, and Gr12 titanium alloy, catering to engineering and chemical industries. Utilizing advanced automatic tungsten inert gas (argon) welding and in-line heat treatments, our pipes meet ASTM B 338 and ASME SB 338 standards. They undergo comprehensive mechanical testing, precise geometrical measurements, and 100% ultrasonic and eddy current testing, ensuring impeccable quality.
Our titanium tubes are essential in aircraft applications where high strength and lightweight are crucial. Ti-3Al-2.5V is especially valuable in tubular form due to its superior malleability compared to Ti-6-4, making it ideal for hydraulic systems. Titanium Grade 9, often regarded as 'half 6-4', is an outstanding alloy that combines 3% aluminium and 2.5% vanadium. This exceptional composition grants it an impressive 20 to 50% enhancement in mechanical strength compared tocommercially pure (CP)titanium grades, while being more formable and weldable than the renowned Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5).
Titanium Grade 18 (UNS R56322) is nearly identical to Grade 9, with the notable addition of 0.04 - 0.08% palladium, which significantly enhances its corrosion resistance. Both Titanium Grades 9 and 18 boast a density of 4.48 g/cc, making them significantly lighter, at less than 60% the density of steel.
This material exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in oxidising, neutral, and mildly reducing environments, including chlorides. The addition of palladium in Titanium Grade 18 further amplifies its corrosion resistance, and the alloy remains resistant to oxidation at temperatures up to 600°F (316°C).
